Anar Sardar oglu Abdullayev

Anar Sardar oglu Abdullayev was born in 1972 in Baku into a family of intellectuals. In 1979, he went to the 1st grade of school No. 132 in Baku, and in 1989 he graduated from this school with a gold medal. In the same year, he entered the Stomatological faculty of the Azerbaijan State Medical Institute, and in 1994 he graduated from the Azerbaijan Medical University with a diploma with honors. During his studies, A.S. Abdullayev showed great interest in scientific research and repeatedly made scientific reports at meetings of the Student Scientific Society of the Azerbaijan Medical University. In 1994, by decision of the Academic Council of the Azerbaijan Medical University, he was enrolled in the Department of Anatomy as a senior laboratory assistant. Since 1996, he has worked at this department as a trainee assistant, since 2000 as an assistant, and since 2009 as a senior lecturer. In 2018, A.S. Abdullayev became an associate professor, and in 2019, the head of the education part of the department of Human Anatomy and Medical Terminology. In 2020-2022, he served as acting head of the Department of Human Anatomy and Medical Terminology. A.S. Abdullayev has been the head of the Department of Human Anatomy and Medical Terminology since 2022. In 1998 he joined the ranks of the New Azerbaijan Party. In 2003 he defended his Ph.D. thesis. A.S. Abdullayev is the author and co-author of more than 120 scientific works, including 2 monographs and 8 textbooks, including the co-author of the first textbook in the Azerbaijani language, “Anthropology with the Basics of Morphology”. The scientific interest of A.S. Abdullayev covers a wide range of areas—the morphology of the minor salivary glands, anthropology, craniometry and cranioscopy, artificially deformed skulls, soft tissues, and facial vessels. A.S. Abdullayev's articles were repeatedly published in highly rated journals, and he also made scientific presentations at international scientific conferences and congresses in Turkey, the Russian Federation, Georgia, Bulgaria, and Kazakhstan. As part of the ORHUN exchange program, he conducted lectures and practical training in Turkey. Anar Sardar oglu Abdullayev is a member of the Public Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan “Scientific Society of Anatomists, Histologists and Embryologists,” the Dissertation Council with registration number FD 2.08 at the Azerbaijan Medical University, the competition commission for participation in the pedagogical process in the “Sabakh Group” project, the expert commission for admission to doctoral studies under the State Program for Improving the International Competitiveness of the Higher Education System of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-2023, and the commission for checking primary documents of dissertations at the Azerbaijan Medical University. A.S. Abdullayev is fluent in Russian and English and conducts lectures and practical classes in these languages.
