Melikov Tahir Sarybala oglu
Melikov Tahir Sarybala oglu, surgeon, was born in 1957 in the Jalilabad District of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In 1964, he entered the first grade of secondary school, which he completed in 1974. In the same year, he entered the First Faculty of General Medicine and Preventive Medicine of Azerbaijan Medical University, from which he graduated in 1980. After completing a one year internship, he obtained the specialty of surgeon.
From 1981 to 1985, he worked as a surgeon in the Rostov Region of the Russian Federation. He performed all types of operations related to general surgery. Since 1985, he worked as a surgeon at the Central District Hospital of the Neftchala District, where he held the positions of Head of the Surgical Department and Chief Physician of the hospital. He organized and headed a self supporting surgical department.
In addition, he carried out professional activities in a number of clinics in Baku, including Funda, Vital, Real Hospital, International Hospital, and others.
From 2000 to 2023, he collaborated with the National Oncology Center of the Republic of Georgia, where he conducted scientific work on the topic of his doctoral dissertation. In 2003, in Moscow, by decision of the Higher Interacademic Attestation Commission of the International Interacademic Union, he was awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences for his dissertation entitled “Intoxication Syndrome in Abdominal Surgery and Methods of Its Correction”.
At present, he continues his professional activity in the specialty of general surgery.
