Yang Caide

Yang Caide, Chief Physician, has long been engaged in the clinical practice, teaching, and research of Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture and minimally invasive acupoint buried thread techniques, and has a multidisciplinary background in integrated Chinese and Western medicine and medical management, with systematic and extensive practical and research experience in related fields. He currently serves as Director of the Department of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine at the Donggang Campus of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University, as well as President of the Beijing Zhongzhen Acupoint Thread Embedding Medical Research Institute. In clinical practice, Yang Caide specializes in the treatment of neck, shoulder, lower back, and leg pain, various joint diseases, allergic conditions, internal medicine disorders, and sub-health regulation.

Yang Caide has achieved systematic innovative accomplishments in the fields of acupoint buried thread therapy and acupotomy medicine. Yang Caide is a principal founder and representative figure of the “Buried Thread Acupotomy Therapy” and the “Hand-Press Stellate Ganglion Buried Thread Technique.” Yang Caide has led the formulation of multiple national-level association standards and clinical practice guidelines for Traditional Chinese Medicine. The related techniques have been included in the National Health Technology Promotion and Application Information Service Platform and in the first batch of National Appropriate Health Technology Promotion Projects. Yang Caide has presided over and participated in more than 20 scientific research projects, received over ten national and provincial/ministerial science and technology awards, holds 9 patents, has published 18 monographs and textbooks, and authored more than 170 academic papers.

In academic organizations, Yang Caide serves as Vice Chairman of the Professional Committee on Safety Research of External TCM Therapies under the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, President of the Buried Thread Branch of the China Association for the Promotion of Traditional Chinese Medicine Research, and Deputy Director of the Buried Thread Professional Committee of the China Association of Acupuncture-Moxibustion, among other positions. Yang Caide plays an important leading role in the development of industry standards, technology promotion, and professional training. Yang Caide has conducted more than 2000 professional training sessions, trained over 56000 physicians, and established 56 buried thread technology bases, effectively promoting the standardized and large-scale clinical application of minimally invasive Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques, with significant social impact and professional contributions.
